Thankfully, we returned from California right before my husbands company forbade any employee from leaving Michigan, due to COVID-19. We were careful, and I disinfected everything I came in contact with. My suitcase with my bleach wipes was opened by TSA, but thankfully they did not take that.
We look forward to visiting California to see family, and I love it because it offers me an opportunity to create images that I do not have access to in our beautiful state. Plus, February in southern California has warmer and sunnier weather than Detroit, and not having to wear alpaca socks to keep my feet warm for ten days was fantastic!
It was very strange to be at the Santa Monica Pier watching surfers one day, and the next being at Big Bear seeing skiers on the mountains. (I prefer the squishy sand on the beach to snow!)
I am blessed to have this opportunity, and even though my equipment gets heavy to lug around, it's worth it, and thankfully my family is tolerant of me stopping and shooting images.
I have a blast! Enjoy these images....
Until next time California.......
